Changing your membership
Things change — a class time stops working, or the weekly commitment gets hard to keep. Depending on what your club has switched on, you may be able to make some of these changes yourself instead of messaging your coach.
You'll find them under Settings → Billing, next to your child's name.
Moving to a different class
If your club runs more than one class and has enabled this, you'll see a ⇄ Change button.
- Pick the class you'd like to move to. You'll only be shown classes your child is eligible for, so you can't accidentally pick one for the wrong age group.
- Say briefly why you're moving — your coach sees this.
- Confirm. The move happens straight away, and you're billed at the new class's price from then on.
If you've already paid for this month, the unused part is credited to your account (see below).
Switching to pay-as-you-go
If you're on a monthly membership and your club has enabled this, you'll see Switch to pay-as-you-go →.
This means: your child keeps their place in the class, and instead of paying every month you're charged your club's session rate each time they actually attend.
- Nothing is cancelled and nobody loses their spot in the class.
- Your monthly charges stop.
- You're charged per session attended from then on.
- Your coach is told, so it's not a surprise to them.
Is it cheaper?
Only you can work that out, and it depends how often you actually come. Divide the monthly fee by the session rate — if the class is £18 a month and sessions are £6, three sessions a month is the break-even. Come most weeks and monthly is better value; come now and then and pay-as-you-go will suit you better.
Going back to monthly
You can book that yourself, and it starts at the beginning of next month. Tap Go back to monthly → on your billing page.
- You stay on pay-as-you-go for the rest of this month, paying per session as usual.
- From the 1st you're a monthly member again.
- You can cancel any time before then — the button changes to Cancel — stay on pay-as-you-go.
Why not straight away? Because monthly fees are charged for the month just gone. Switching you back today would mean a bill for a full month you'd already been paying for session by session. Waiting for the 1st means you're never charged twice for the same weeks.
If you'd rather it happened sooner, your coach can change it for you at any time.
Money you've already paid
If you switch part-way through a month you've already been charged for, you're not charged twice for the same weeks. Adminished works out the unused part of that month and puts it on your account as a credit, which you'll see on your billing page.
A credit reduces what you owe next time. It isn't money sent back to your card — if you need an actual refund, ask your coach.
Taking a break
To pause for a while — a holiday, an injury — use Send pause request on your billing page. That's always available, whatever else your club has enabled. It goes to your coach, who applies the pause.
Leaving altogether
Some clubs let you cancel instantly; most prefer to be asked, so cancelling is usually a request your coach approves. Either way you start it from your billing page. If you owe anything, or a Direct Debit is still going through, it'll go to your coach rather than happening immediately.
Can't see these options?
That's normal, and nothing is wrong with your account. Each of these is something your club chooses to switch on, and plenty of coaches prefer to handle changes personally. A few other reasons an option might not appear:
- No ⇄ Change button — your club may only run one class, so there's nowhere to move to.
- No pay-as-you-go option — you may already be on it, or your club may not offer it.
Just message your coach — every one of these changes can be made by them.
