The club posts feed
The posts feed is a persistent notice board for your club. Unlike a broadcast — which arrives once in a parent's inbox — posts stay visible on the parent dashboard so parents can scroll back and refer to them whenever they need to.
Where it lives
Coaches compose posts at Posts in the navigation. Parents see the full feed at /parent/feed and a pinned summary on their dashboard home page.
How to write a post
- Go to Posts in the coach navigation.
- Write a short title and body text.
- Choose your audience: all parents, or one specific class.
- Optionally tick Pin to top for announcements that should stay prominent.
- Click Publish.
Pinning a post
A pinned post sits at the top of the feed until you unpin it. Use pinning for information parents will need to keep coming back to: term dates, kit requirements, end-of-season notices, or a change of venue.
The feed is deliberately one-way. If parents need to respond, direct them to a message thread or a poll. This keeps the feed clean and easy to scan.
Editing and deleting
Open any post's detail page to edit or delete it. Deleting is soft — the post disappears from the parent feed immediately but can be recovered if needed.
Class audience and co-parents
When you post to a specific class, every guardian of every enrolled student in that class sees it — not just the primary contact. Co-parents stay in sync without any extra work on your part.
Post vs broadcast vs message — which one to use
- Post — a permanent record on the feed. Use for term dates, policies, weekly club updates, anything parents might want to re-read.
- Broadcast — a one-shot message via email and in-app notification. Use for urgent or time-sensitive news that needs to push through to parents right now.
- Message — a threaded conversation. Use for one-to-one or one-to-class dialogue where you expect replies.
