Setting up and managing interest lists
An interest list is a public sign-up page that lets parents express interest in a class, trip, or activity before you commit to running it — useful for testing demand, managing waitlists, or gauging numbers ahead of booking a venue.
Common uses
- Testing whether there is enough demand to run a new class time or age group.
- Capturing a waitlist when an existing class is full.
- Gauging interest in a trip or residential before you pay a deposit.
Creating an interest list
- Go to the Interest tab in your coach dashboard.
- Click Create list.
- Enter a name, a short description, an optional maximum number of places, and an optional deadline date.
- Click Save. Adminished generates a public URL at
/interest/<slug>. - Share the link with parents directly, on your social media, or on your website.
How parents sign up
Parents do not need an Adminished account. On the public page they enter their name, email address, and their child's age. That is all. They receive a confirmation email and you receive a notification in your coach inbox.
Managing sign-ups
From the Interest tab, click any list to see everyone who has signed up. You can see names, email addresses, and the ages provided. Use this to decide whether numbers justify running the class or booking the trip.
Promoting a list to a real class
Once you're ready to commit, click Promote to class on the interest list page. Adminished creates a new class with the same name and description. You can then invite the interested parents to register their child properly and begin paying. The original interest list is archived automatically.
Closing or deleting a list
If demand is insufficient, click Delete list. This removes the public page immediately. If you collected emails, it is good practice to send a brief note to those who signed up explaining that the class will not be running.
Privacy and data responsibility
Email addresses collected through your interest list are processed under your club's own privacy policy, not Adminished's. Make sure your privacy policy covers how you use expressions of interest and how long you keep the data. Do not use addresses for unrelated marketing without explicit consent.
Plan: Interest lists are available on Essential and Pro plans.
